Building & Home Inspection Checklist

EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS

Roofing:
We check every aspect of a building’s roof, including the condition of roofing materials and chimneys. If there are any defects or holes in the roof – obvious or otherwise – we will report them.

Exterior:
In many ways the exterior of a home is just as important as the interior, especially when it comes to safety and property value. Our team will inspect siding, decks, patios, windows, doors and other components of the exterior, as well as other areas outside like driveways, sidewalks and patios.

Garage:
We will inspect the exterior condition of garages as well as the interior space. One of the most important things we will look for is any evidence of water damage or pest infestations, as well as any structural faults or issues with the garage roofing.

Foundation/basement:
The basement and overall foundation is a critical area of any house. We will look to ensure that the home or business has home has a sound structure, free of water damage and cracking. We also look through crawl spaces for signs of damage that may not be visible from ground floors like leaking pipes, insufficient insulation or signs of pest infestations.

Attic:
If the building being inspected has an attic, it will be thoroughly inspected by our team. We will be able to tell you whether or not the attic offers proper ventilation, the quality of existing insulation and so much more.

Electrical:
Electrical systems are critically important when it comes to the safety and function of any building. We will inspect every electrical system in and around the building, including wiring, lighting, panels and more.

Plumbing:
Our report will detail the type of piping in the building, as well as the current condition of drain, waste and venting systems.

Water heater:
Friendly Inspection Services will provide you with details on the current water heater in the building, including information about its capacity and safety controls and age, if available.

Heating systems:
Our inspection will include a thorough look at the heating and air conditioning systems present throughout the building. We will be able to assess their condition as well as provide you with specific details about the installed units or any faults or flaws with exhaust systems or duct work.

Building interior:
In general we will always inspect the ceilings, floors, walls, cabinets, doors, windows and other aspects of each space inside the home or commercial building.
